My Out of Body Experience
I was scared to death, laying there on the operating table waiting to be put under in order to have my surgery. Of course what 10 year old kid wouldn't be? The very last thing that I remembered was someone putting a mask over my nose in order to pour ether onto it in order to put me under. For those of you that are younger , ether is a liquid the Dr. used to use in order to put you asleep for a surgery.
I can't tell you how long later it was but I found myself floating above a table and watching two men and one woman dressed in surgical clothing and working on someone that was laying on the table. As I looked closer I realized the patient was me. The thing that sticks out the most about that is the fact that I felt absolutely no attachment or any feelings at all for that body. I could hear the two doctors talking about the house that he had just purchased. I had no concept of time so I don't have any idea how long I was out of my body. I also can't tell you when I went back into my body. Actually it was all pretty uneventful.
I went through life believeing that I had a dream about it some 50 years ago. As I got older I heard people speak of out of body experiences. That out of body experience dream,if that is what it was is still so vividly clear. Come to think about it I can't even recall another single dream that I had or even have had the last few years much less 50 years ago. I have heard many out of body experience stories lately and this led me to do a little research on the subject. Some scientist now say that they can trigger an out of body experience. Trauma is said to be one thing that can trigger the event. There is also some guy on this very site that claims he can jump between paralell universes at will. Personally, I now believe that my body did separate from my spirit that day and that is what an out of body experience really is. People have asked me what it felt like and as I said earlier it was really kind of uneventful. Just like so many other things, so much research is going on as to what causes them, how to produce an out of body experience, are they real, etc, but again the bottom line is what do you believe ?

The out of body experience is certainly on the minds of people. And from what I read there are many of us who have experienced it, like yourself, only it’s left up pretty much to the individual to grasp whether or not that they indeed had an OBE, NDE, or life after death experience which NDE seems to connote life after death too. I don’t know except for what I experienced and then lived to write about it in Mommy’s Writings, which changed my life forever. But there’s one thing I know – God exists.
